Powell Pointe Resort offers something for everyone who enjoy being in, on or near the sea. Over 7 weekly excursions or snorkeling trips are available in and around the Cape which is uniquely surrounded by the gin clear glassy waters of the Exuma Sound and Rock Sound.

Enjoy activities including the exploration of the nearby intimate private island beach formations known as The Schooner Cays, and their magnificent untouched coral island reefs and their kaleidoscopic of underwater scenery. Guests are invited to learn to dive and spearfish with native locals. Whether they want to windsurf, kayak, row, sail, bonefish or pick up a picnic lunch and set off on a boating adventure around the Cape, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will get them ready to go and share a few pointers and favorite secluded spots to visit.

Every one of the resort’s 67 waterfront accommodations comes fully equipped with a view of the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean, spectacular sunrises or sunsets and thousands of stars at night. The breezy Mariner Town Homes have sun-warmed verandas and hammocks for two nearby, and the Beach Villas are nestled on Sunrise beach among lush tropical gardens, with private decks and magnificent sea views.

Powell Pointe Resort offers sumptuous casual dining at Barracuda’s Beach bar and open-air grille. Try the Chef prepared Steak and local Seafood, and the islands’ best frozen concoctions. Provision your residence or vessel from our emporium of gourmet snacks and groceries at Out Island Outfitters. Or, if it’s just too much effort to make it into the restaurant during the day, lunch is served Cabana beach-side (seasonally), and drinks can be brought to the guest’s lounge chair on two of our beaches throughout the day Powell Pointe Resort can host weddings, family reunions, group functions and corporate outings.

Rooms & Accommodation

• Mariner Waterfront Town Homes (37): Featuring expansive balconies and patios built among tropical flowering gardens and offering vistas overlooking the Marina and both the Rock Sound for morning sunrise and Exuma Sound for memorable Sunsets. These two bedroom split level oversized homes offer fully equipped kitchens, eat-in dining rooms and spacious living room with queen sleeper sofa, flat screen remote controlled TV and DVD/CD player and wireless internet. Each residence has individually controlled air conditioning with two bedrooms (one King or one Queen and Two Twin Beds), complete with two-and-a-half spacious bathrooms. Each guest suite has been thoughtfully situated overlooking the Marina and grouped in fours, perfect for families or friends who wish to be next door. Enjoy a shared walkway to the nearby beach, marina and the Bahama Coffee Company, Deli and Bakery.
• Superior Beachfront Villas ~ (15): Perfectly situated facing East to catch the trade wind breezes, the Beachfront Villas feature the Eleutherian and Caribbean architecture that provide the authentic island experience known around the world. Each one has breath-taking panoramic views of the Rock Sound. Each is designed with private verandas offering sea views and relaxing hammocks directly on half moon shaped Sunrise beach, footsteps from entertaining Barracuda’s Beach bar & grille and the Bahama Coffee Company.
• Deluxe Estate Homes ~ (15): These cottages feature the most stunning ocean views of any residence on Eleuthera! Beautifully designed with a spacious dining area living room and complete with three bathrooms. The Master bedroom features one-King bed and the three Guest suites features a King bedroom and at least two additional guest rooms with either two-twin or double beds or queen bedding. The Estate House can accommodate six adults and two children. Enjoy the oversized patio with a barbecue grill and Sea View balcony area. All situated overlooking Powell Pointe, and easily accessible by personal golf cart. The Estate Homes are based on Quad occupancy.

All Mariner Town Homes, Beach Front Villas and the Estate Homes feature: fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, living room, private bathrooms with tub and showers, ceiling fans, individually controlled AC, telephones with data ports, wireless internet, coffee machines, refrigerators, and of course stunning views of the ocean and beyond.
