Eco safari and luxury beach holiday

You’ll visit the largest rhino conservancy in East Africa overlooking the snow-capped Mount Kenya and one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa, the Maasai Mara, famous for its big cats and wildebeest migration. Throughout your safari you’ll have opportunities to enjoy meeting the Maasai people and learning about their culture. Then on to the romantic island of Mauritius staying at the Beau Rivage, located close to a lagoon and beautiful white sandy beach.
Accommodation is in three eco bush camps that complement each other perfectly – staying first at Porini Amboseli Camp in Selenky Conservancy neighbouring Amboseli National Park, then Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, followed by Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve. The Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same environmentally sound principles - working closely with the local communities. All camps are specially designed to have minimum impact with no permanent structures.

  • Transfers between each camp are by scheduled air service with a flight to get you straight to the wildlife without spending hours travelling between the parks over rough roads
  • Game drives from the camps in 4x4 safari vehicles (not vans) with excellent guides
  • In the Mara and Ol Pejeta: walk with Maasai warriors, opportunity for night game drives, exclusive wilderness areas with no tourist minibuses

Day 1
Fly from Nairobi’s Wilson airport on a 40-minute journey to Amboseli and then head out straight on safari, with a morning viewing the elephants and other animals. Take a picnic lunch before driving to Porini Camp to your tented accommodation within the Selenkay Conservancy. Join a game drive in Selenkay and a sundowner overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to Porini for dinner and an overnight stop.
Day 2
Set off early for a game drive then take breakfast at Porini Camp before heading out with Maasai warriors for an escorted walk. After lunch at the camp visit a nearby Maasai village and return to Selenkay for a sundowner drink and a night game drive. Overnight stop at Amboseli Porini Camp.
Day 3
After an early breakfast drive through Amboseli Park to the airstrip and fly via Nairobi to Nanyuki, arriving at 12.40. Transferred to Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, nestled in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Take lunch and tea at the camp then look for rhino with your guide in Porini’s 4WD vehicle. Dinner and an overnight stop at the camp.
Day 4
Spend the day taking game drives and guided walks in the Ol Pejata Conservancy, with an overnight stop at Porini Rhino Camp.
Day 5
Drive to Nanyuki and fly to Mara, arriving at 11.00 and then transferring to Porini Lion Camp. Take lunch and afternoon tea in the camp before heading off for a game drive or guided walk. Enjoy a sundowner and then take a night game drive. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stop.
Day 6
Spend the whole day in the Maasai Mara National Park. Picnic lunch. Overnight stop at Porini Lion Camp.
Day 7
Early morning game drive and then fly back to Wilson airport, and transfer to the international airport to fly from Nairobi to Mauritius. Transfer to Beau Rivage Hotel for a seven night stay.
Day 8
Day 8 – Day 13: Spent time at the Beau Rivage Hotel before returning to the UK on your direct flight from Mauritius to Heathrow.
