La Plantation hotel is situated on the north west coast of Mauritius, only 15 minutes from the capital Port Louis and a similar distance from Grand Bay, one of the island’s most visited tourist spots. Offering a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in 8 acres of marvellous surroundings dotted with elegant ponds the resort is centred around its huge pool. The adjacent beach bordering the lagoon is ideal for sunbathing or enjoying a candlelit dinner with your feet in the sand. The Dolphin Spa offers a range of revitalising treatments and a variety of restaurant and bar facilities are also available to guests including a newly renovated discotheque

Rooms & Accommodation

• Total of 270 air-conditioned rooms
• 157 standard rooms with king size or 2 separate beds, facing the garden
• 80 privilege rooms with king size or 2 separate beds, either facing the garden or the ocean. Extras: bathrobe, beach towels, electric kettle, tea and coffee facilities
• 26 family rooms with a king size bed for the parents and a room with a bunk-bed for the children, either facing the Citron River or the pool. Children under 12 years can stay on half board at no additional cost
• 7 suites overlooking the Citron River with a room with a king size bed, a children’s room with 2 separate beds, 2 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets.

For Children

• Le Dauphin Kid’s Club for children from ages 3 to 12 is open from 9:00am to 9:00pm. The club features a garden area with toboggans and slides and a TV and video room. The entertainment team organises various activities including drawing competitions, football, indoor and outdoor games, team building, beach games and nature walks in the surrounding area

Dining at La Plantation

• Le Domaine des épices is the hotel’s main dining room. Breakfast buffets are served by the pool side daily from 7:00am to 10:00am. Evening meals are served in the form of a variety of theme buffets including Chinese, Indian, Italian and seafood. The evening dress code is smart casual
• Fleur de canne is a gourmet restaurant in a romantic open air setting in the middle of a pool on a small island. An air-conditioned section is also available. Open everyday for dinner from with a smart casual dress code
• L’Amiral is a bar and restaurant located on the beach with views of the Citron River. Grill and seafood specialities are served daily for lunch and dinner
• Le Cylo is situated right between the pools, facing the dance floor and the band. The hotel’s principal bar, it is open every day from 10:00am to midnight. A snack menu of salads and sandwiches is available for lunch and a broad array of tropical cocktails typical of the island make a great aperitif. The bar is also the venue for a variety of musical entertainment, shows and games
• Le Colonial is a discrete and peaceful bar located on the first floor and open daily from 10:00am to 11:00pm
