This classic itinerary covers the highlights of Botswana, taking you to the famous Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and the Makgadikgadi salt pans. You’ll start off seeing the amazing scenery of Botswana, then the final part of the journey takes you into Zambia to the see the jaw-dropping Victoria Falls. (ATI)
Day 1 & 2
Upon arrival into Maun Airport you will be transferred to a light aircraft for a short flight to Leroo La Tau. Here you can choose to relax and unwind at the bar or the pool before setting off on your on your first night drive. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. On day 2, enjoy a morning game drive to see the unique haven for large herds and predators alike. Come back to the lodge for some lunch before heading back out to see more of the amazing wildlife that the Kalahari has to offer.
Overnight: Leroo La Tau, Edge of the Kalahari
Day 3 & 4
Transfer by light aircraft to Gunns Main Camp, on your flight you will see the intricate twisting and turning waterways and ever-changing colours of the Delta. Enjoy the facilities which include a swimming pool and a boma as well as the spectacular views of the Okavango Delta from your dining area. Set off on an excursion in either the traditional dug-out canoes or a guided walk through the bush. On day 4, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a range of wildlife sightings as part of morning and afternoon drives, with the hope of seeing hippo, crocodile, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, leopard and maybe even wild dog.
Overnight: Gunns Camp, Okavango Delta
Day 5 & 6
On day 5, you will take a light aircraft flight to Savuti to settle into the Three Baobabs Camp, ideally located for exploring the wild Savute marshlands and the world-famous Chobe National Park. Chobe is well known for its vast herds of elephant and for sunset cruises along the Chobe River, so this is a fantastic base for exploring. You might even be able to spot game from your private veranda at the camp!

Day 7 & 8
Today take a scenic drive through the Park to Kasane, where you will transfer to the banks of the Chobe River for your stay at the Garden Lodge. As Chobe is dry most of the year, wildlife depends on the river for water, making this a truly spectacular experience for boat cruises and game drives. There are plenty of activities to enjoy here, including game drives, boat cruises along the river and traditional mokoro excursions. On day 8, you will get up early in the morning for a full day of game viewing to spot the wide range of wildlife as well as birdlife.
Overnight: Garden Lodge, Kasane
Day 9 & 10
Transfer by road and boat for your trip to Livingstone. Here you will stay at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort and get the chance to explore the jaw-dropping World Heritage Site Victoria Falls. If you want to relax, this is the perfect place, but there are plenty of activities to enjoy if you’d rather get out and explore. Why not take part in thrilling white water rafting or bungi jumping? There are also elephant-back rides and helicopter flights to make the most of – the choice is yours.
Overnight: The Avani Victoria Falls Resort, Livingstone
Transfer to Livingstone Airport for your flight back via Johannesburg.
Please note, all visitors will be required to pay Park Fees when entering the National Parks in Botswana. Many of the camps and lodges include this fee within their overnight rate, however, there are a handful of lodges that require this fee to be paid for locally in cash.
