A fully immersive and unforgettable African experience, this 7-night trip is compact but spectacular. Soak up the vibrant colours and wildlife of Botswana and Zambia as you journey through the landscape on game drives and guided walks. Camp out under the stars of the Okavango Delta, track rhinos in the Khama Sanctuary, and be blown away by the beauty of Victoria Falls. Camping out under the beautiful African sky will help you to experience this amazing destination in an authentic way, and you’ll end your trip in Livingstone for a relaxing final day. (GY)

Day 1

Arrive at any time into Maun and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2-3

Over the next couple of days you can embark on an optional open-vehicle game drive in the Khama Rhino Sanctuary or take part in a scenic flight from Maun over the delta. The Khama Rhino Sanctuary is centred around the Serowe Pan, which is a large grass-covered depression in the landscape with numerous natural watering holes. Though technically a village, Maun is the fifth largest town in Botswana and has an eclectic blend of modern buildings and traditional huts.

Day 4

Today you will leave Maun and spend some time in the Okavango Delta, enjoying game walks, bird spotting and a trip down the river in a traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursion. You’ll also have the opportunity to view the wildlife up close – don’t forget your camera! In the evening, there will be a lovely campfire where you can sing and dance with the locals.

Day 5-6

On day 5, you’ll be able to camp out beneath the ancient baobab trees – take a dip in the pool or spend time beside the campfire as you enjoy the amazing scenery. On day 6, you can journey into the Chobe National Park – keep a look out for lions, antelope and the mighty elephants. This area is home to the largest elephant population in Southern Africa and is one of the best locations for appreciating Botswana's amazing wildlife.

Day 7

Take a ferry crossing to Zambia to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls. You can then choose from a number of optional activities, such as canoeing, elephant-back safari rides, a flight over the falls or white water rafting – a spectacular end to your trip.

Day 8

Depart at any time.
