Iconic and unique, The Ark is a haven for nature lovers who really want to experience this fantastic area first-hand. With four viewing areas overlooking the vast watering hole and salt lick, you’ll be provided with some truly spectacular views of the landscape and native wildlife. Spread over 1300 acres, outdoor pursuits are in abundance here, from game drives to fishing and hikes. And, as the name suggests, this visually appealing building resembles the famous Noah’s Ark – surrounded by exotic animals.
The restaurant serves up a selection of fresh dishes that use organic ingredients for a delicious range of meals. There’s an on-site library where you can relax of an afternoon, as well as a gift shop where you can pick up last minute safari essentials or souvenirs.
Top tip: There’s a bell wake-up call that alerts you when the animals are close and visible, so you never miss a sighting of these fascinating creatures.
The Ark offers a selection of self-contained cabins, with en-suite facilities. Each offers bottled drinking water, hot water bottles in the bed each night and a buzzer to alert you of animal sightings at night.
