Set in a 15,000 acre private game reserve, Amboseli Porini is situated in the Selenkay Conservation Area, close by to Mount Kilimanjaro. With just nine spacious tents, this exclusive camping experience offers a fantastic personal service in a simple yet luxurious surrounding. This camp prides itself on the preservation of the natural surroundings to ensure that as little environmental impact as possible occurs during your stay. As a base for exploring the fascinating wildlife and the famous elephant herds that can be spotted here, this is a wonderful location.
The range of activities here is great, giving you a wonderful opportunity to really explore the area and see the very best of the native wildlife here - the conservancy is home to an abundance of elephants, as well as rarer species including the African Wildcat. From game drives to cultural visits to traditional Masai villages, these are memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime. The tents are comfortable and well equipped for a true safari experience. There’s a great selection of food and drink to choose from, too.
Top tip: Be sure to spend some time on the viewing deck which overlooks the watering hole – the array of wildlife that you’ll see is amazing. Sir David Attenborough has once said of Porini Amboseli, 'What a marvellous example of how people and wildlife can live alongside one another'.
