Situated amongst 12 acres of private land, Giraffe Manor is a charming and traditional property that exudes that elegance of the 1930s. Serving as a fitting prelude to your safari adventures, this unique manor teams luxury accommodation with the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being face to face with the Rothschild giraffes. As the only place in the world where you can share your breakfast with these fascinating creatures, this is an experience everyone should have at least once.
There are sanctuaries and museums nearby where you can learn more about the history of the manor and the animals that live here. As well as the giraffes, there is also a range of other wildlife, from warthogs and bushbuck to over 180 species of birds. We love the fact that the manor has just ten rooms, giving you chance to revel in the peace and tranquillity of the area – each is elegant, luxurious and spacious for a stress-free stay.
Top tip: If you can, opt for a room with a private veranda – not only is it a great place for relaxing with a drink at sunset, but you’ll get the chance to feed these wonderful creatures from your room at breakfast time!
The property offers ten elegant double bedrooms with antique furnishings. Each room has a large four-poster bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom. The Master room connects to the Giraffe room, which has two beds suitable for families. The Karen Blixen room is larger and at ground level, containing a double bed and two single beds
