Calabash Cove Set to Become St Lucia’s Newest Luxury Hotel

St Lucia is set to welcome its newest luxury property, opening in November 2008.

The five star Calabash Cove Resort and Spa is located on the Caribbean island’s north west coast just minutes from the popular resort area of Rodney Bay.

Staff are just putting the finishing touches on its 26 suites and cottages. The Water’s Edge Cottages are handcrafted from mahogany and teak and all feature private pools, while the Manor House Suites have ocean views, some also including poolside patios.

The property occupies a lushly vegetated hillside, sloping down towards Bonaire Bay, with quiet walkways winding through the gardens where you can spot hummingbirds and other indigenous wildlife.

Windsong Restaurant will offer creative Asian-inspired cuisine, and aspires to be the island’s first Michelin starred venue. The freshest local ingredients and hotel’s herb garden will be used to create gourmet dishes, and guests can choose from a fine selection of top labels from the wine cellar at the C Bar. You could even organize a romantic champagne picnic for a special treat.

Other facilities will include an infinity-edge freshwater pool with mahogany loungers and poolside butler service, and the Mindspring Spa centre, offering a range of professional pampering treatments.
