A Breath Of Fresh Air And Best For A Bargain - Chiang Mai

Thailand’s second city, Chiang Mai is located in the North of Thailand and is the antithesis of busy, brash Bangkok.  Whilst it’s surrounded by mountains, lush tropical countryside, it’s also a major, cosmopolitan must-see, especially for those wanting to bag a bargain.  The city holds a famous night bazaar, where stalls are squeezed out onto the pavement in every direction.  Anything and everything can be picked up here, from fake designer gear to authentic Thai and Burmese handicrafts.  For hard core shoppers, there is plenty of opportunity to grab a bite to eat, with a whole section of the market dedicated to street food!  This legendary market is certainly one of the cheapest places in Thailand to pick up souvenirs, clothes and jewellery, as the cost of living is slightly lower than in Bangkok and many of the handicrafts are made in Northern Thailand.
