qatarairwayslounge 300x200 The Delights of Qatar Airways Business Class

I like Qatar Airways for two really good reasons …

I live 20 minutes from Gatwick and they fly from Gatwick to a huge range of destinations such as the Middle East, Oman, Kerala, Seychelles, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali and more. I also like them because they have a great business class product. I have been all around the world in every class and I have certainly done my share of long haul economy. I now will only go if it is business class! It just cuts out all the hassle – separate check in, lounge and coffee, get on and off the plane first. I thought Qatar was not a flat bed, but on their new 777 its pyjamas and totally flat beds. We have just flown to Bangkok . It was all the better because business class was empty on the Gatwick Doha sector. The connection in Doha was an hour in their really splendid business and first class terminal. We were met from the plane by a private bus just for the business class passengers and escorted to the terminal . Here there were staff on hand everywhere to answer questions. There was a duty free shop, a games room with the all important table football, a kids’ room, a family room and an excellent lounge bar and restaurant with everything on tap. In first class you can even get a massage at the terminal. The place is spotlessly clean and the flowers are wonderful. It was also relatively empty – no queues.

As for the other things – pretty good food, although plane food is never as good as dry land. There was nice Meursault and Bordeaux to drink. I also like the livery of the plane – there is something chic about grey. At Doha there is nothing but Qatar planes as far as the eye could see.

Qatar has a business class sales from time to time. You can pick up two business class seats for the price of one. It sure makes the hassle of the airport go away. Why not treat yourself and give it a go with your next Tropical Sky holiday. Why not take Qatar to Kuala Lumpur and try out the new Golden Palm hotel which is a sensational price in June.
