b737 800(2) Emirates Lite Launches in DubaiDubai has launched its first budget carrier – Flydubai – a sister company to the flagship carrier Emirates with flights to Beirut and to Amman. Flydubai will operate two next-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Beirut and Amman routes, and have four aircraft by the end of the year. Initial plans are only to offer a budget service for regional traffic, but extending services into southern and central Europe was under consideration.
