There are endless things to do in Hong Kong for all types of tourists. The city is a bustling metropolis with some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers but there are some surprisingly beautiful nature reserves and parks too, so even the most active holiday makers or those just looking to relax will find the perfect mix at this diverse destination.
One of the most popular attractions for all tourists is The Peak, Hong Kong Island. Giving arguably the best view of the city skyline, The Peak showcases the towering skyscrapers, the world-famous Victoria Harbour and Kowloon and peaceful green hillsides. Getting to it is an experience in itself as the Peak Tram climbs 373 metres up a steep hill, making the buildings look like they’re at a 45°angle! There are a number of things to do when you’ve reached the top including the Peak Circle Walk or have a wander down to the Lugard Road Lookout for fabulous views across the harbour.
If you want to get away from the busy urban city, there are many parts that are still luscious and green with much of the country preserved as Country Parks and Nature Reserves. Among the favourites lies The Hong Kong national Geopark which covers an area of 50 square kilometres.
But if all that is still a bit too much activity, there are countless beautiful and peaceful temples to help you get away from it all.
