Hotel Chain launches £999 basic wedding package. But we can beat that!

Whilst browsing the BBC News website, I spotted an article that caught my attention it was titled: ’Hotel Chain Offers £999 Wedding‘.

Reading further on it discusses how The Holiday Inn hotel chain are pulling in couples affected by the credit crunch, by offering a wedding package including bucks fizz, hot pot supper and DJ for the evening at a cost of  £999.

The article goes on to describe a couple who held their wedding at a Holiday Inn just of the M6. Although the wedding was £999 they spent £3500 in total after wedding cars, suits, dresses, drinks etc were costed in. They describe this as being extremely affordable and worthwile. Ok, so they’re not castle wedding venues, but the couple were still happy.

While reading this, i was thinking … It is actually possible to spend 14 nights in the Carribbean (with all food, drinks and wedding included) for less than that!
