Maldivian Spa Magic

When you go away on holiday, there’s nothing quite like relaxing together and sharing a spa treatment. And none more so than at the Olhuveli Beach & Spa Resort in the Maldives, which has a delicious Romance at Olhuveli treatment that promises over two hours of sheer indulgence – for both of you. It starts with private use of the steam room and sauna – and very cold plunge pool – as well as a hot tub with strong waterfall shower. You are taken into your treatment room together and here’s where the fun, romance and relaxation beings. It starts with a soothing aromatherapy flower footbath where your feet are bathed, massaged, exfoliated and pummeled. You are then led to adjoining massage tables for a couple’s massage, where skilled therapists work harmoniously over your whole body using exotic aromas of specially blended oils. It is so relaxing that you can fall asleep – in fact I do declare that I heard my husband snore at one point, although he completely denies this! The treatment continues with a facial, and whilst the face mask is doing its work, the massage continues taking you into a catatonic state of pure bliss.

This amazing experience is topped-off with a cooling flower bath for two, surrounded by candles and with a glass of chilled wine – the perfect recipe for romance and total relaxation!
