Sex And The City 2 Was ‘Too Racy’ For Abu Dhabi!

Abu Dhabi might be a modern city and the capital of the United Arab Emirates, but it still wouldn’t let the cast of Sex And The City 2 – the most popular chick flick of 2010 through its door to film some of the movie’s scenes! Instead, the rather-more liberated Morocco was its stand-in. However, as much of the filming there took place in the Sahara desert (pretending to be the Arabian Desert), the movie got away with fooling us!  With its uber-luxurious hotels, glittering souks and sandy beaches, ‘cosmopolitan’ Abu Dhabi was the ideal eastern escape for the excessive, over-the-top SATC girls to talk shoes, eye-up man candy and catch up on the NY gossip!
