US publisher Merriam Webster has announced several new words for its Collegiate Dictionary….
‘Staycation’ is a vacation spent at home or nearby. Due to the current economic climate there has been much press about people doing that this summer.
Here at Tropical Sky, we have invented a new word – ‘Tropication’ (not yet in the dictionary) To define, this is a holiday spent in the tropics at short notice, that cannot be turned down because the price is so great!!
Examples of ‘Tropication’ Include:
Another new word in the Merriam Webster dictionary is ‘waterboarding’ – they define it as an interrogation technique inducing the sensation of drowning.
Tropical Sky on the other hand, believe it is what you do on a boogie board on the south coast of Barbados!!
