It’s a fantastic dinner for two available at Coco-Joe’s, the pool side restaurant in the Tanjung Aru hotel, jewel of Shangri-La’s best known resort hotel and Spa complex in Kots Kinabalu, Borneo, Malaysia. Not your typical pool bar, Coco-Joe’s surprises and delights at the best of times with a choice of barbecued, Asian or international dishes and superb fresh local seafood.
With this dinner for two, a steamer comes out with a tom yam spicy soup in it. You add prawns, squid, fish balls, beef and chicken to it, and let it steam for two minutes at your table. Then you then add spinach, Chinese greens, noodles, bean sprouts – all served in a bowl with chilli and garlic sauce on the side. Simply Gorgeous!
