Text And Talk Throughout The Flight With Oman Air

Oman Air have just announced that they are the first airline in the world where passengers can use their mobile and the internet not just at take-off and landing but throughout the flight! You can now make and receive phone calls, text and email just like you normally would. It won’t be free though as the service will be charged as a roaming nature as if you were using a phone in a foreign country. Onboard communications will be charged by the home service provider at international rates. Prices for the Internet on laptops would be around £20 for 26MB per flight with extra charges for additional usage. Although you can’t deny this is a leap in progression for technology, I have to say I sometimes enjoyed the flight as the only place I was non-contactable from the modern world and due to the rise of internet on mobiles, you certainly can’t relax on the beach anymore. Oman Air offers flights to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Dubai, The Maldives and Egypt amongst others.
