Keeping a close eye on the airport websites we can clarify that UK flights have been grounded for a second day.

Volcanic ash from Iceland is still drifting across Europe, posing a potential threat to aircraft.

A tiny number of services are being permitted as the ash clears, mainly in and out of Northern Ireland, western Scotland and south-west England.

We are advising all clients who are travelling out today to stay at home and to continue checking their airlines website.  Many clients are choosing to re-book their holiday at a later date.

I have just received a reminder to pay the balance of my holiday costs. This has arrived after the volcano news. I wonder if i will be covered if the holiday is cancelled as I knew about the risk when paying the balance.
