Havana

Arrive into Havana and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at leisure enjoying the delights of the city.

Days 2-3

Santiago de Cuba

Fly to Santiago de Cuba in the morning and enjoy an orientation walk and visit to Castillo del Morro upon arrival. You will have the option to listen to live music at the Casa de la Trova or visit the Revolution Museum. The best way to experience this Afro-Cuban city is by seeking out the revolutionary sites, such as the Moncada Barracks.

Days 4-6

Baracoa

The next two days will be spent in Baracoa – a colonial city with a charming ambience and surrounded by picturesque bays and mountains. The best way to get around is on foot, giving you a better chance of seeing the quaint buildings and attractions. Take time to visit the Catedral de Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion or go hiking near El Yunque. This area is particularly famous for its beautiful beaches, so make time over these couple of days to visit them and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Days 7

Santiago de Cuba

Head back to Santiago de Cuba today to explore more of the revolutionary sites, museums and cultural attractions. The city is well known for being a hub of energetic celebrations and lively festivities, as well as the festival of Caribbean Culture.

Day 8

Camagüey

Head east across the Carretera Central to Camagüey, which is known for being an innovative and cultural destination. Boasting large parks, quaint cobblestone streets and charming architecture, walking through these streets is a real joy. The most note-worthy attraction has to be the churches which are baroque in style and worth seeking out.

Days 9-11

Trinidad

On your way to Trinidad you’ll be treated to some spectacular scenery. Trinidad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to beautiful Spanish-style churches and some great museums. This charming town has the Sierra del Escambray mountains in the background and gorgeous white sand beaches just a short distance away. Musicians are almost never out of earshot here and classic Cuban musical culture is prominent – take a salsa lesson upon arrival! You’ll enjoy a local dinner as a group, hosted by a homestay family, and then have the option to hike in the nearby Topes de Collantes National Park or visit Ancon Beach for diving, lounging on the sands or snorkelling.

(Dinner included)

Day 12

Santa Clara

Head west along the island to Santa Clara today, which was a major city in the Revolution. It’s probably best known for being home to the statue of Ernesto Che Guevara at the Plaza de la Revolución.
