Day 2

Santa Clara – Trinidad

In the morning you’ll drive to Santa Clara, a lively city full of history and culture. You’ll visit the mausoleum of Che Guevara to learn more about the legacy of this iconic Cuban revolutionary, before driving to Trinidad. Upon arrival you’ll embark on an orientation walk to get a feel for the area. Trinidad is a fantastic city full of vibrant nightlife and beautiful colonial architecture, and the locals are very friendly.

Day 3

Trinidad

The next day will be free for you to explore the city. The beaches here are beautiful and perfect for a morning of snorkelling, whilst the cobbled streets are full of welcoming locals and rich culture. A recommended optional visit is the Museo de Historia Muncipal – the top tower offers incredible views of the city, whilst a Cayo Blanco catamaran cruise is also a fantastic way to while away the afternoon. For active travellers, bicycle rental is inexpensive, and the city’s vibrant streets offer fun salsa dancing lessons.

The next two days are free for you to discover Havana. Begin with an orientation walk of the city, before having the rest of your time at leisure. Malecon, the city’s seaside esplanade, is a gorgeous place for a sunny stroll and spot classic American cars, whilst the bars are very lively in the evenings with their salsa dancing and delicious rum cocktails. There are plenty of museums to visit, including Museo de la Revolucion and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, and we fully recommend sneaking a taste of a Coppelia ice cream.

Varadero

On day seven you will return to Varadero, and spend the afternoon either swimming at the beach, or strolling through the luscious Parque Josone. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a final night full of mojitos and vibrant nightlife – Palacio de la Rumba and Cabaret Continental are excellent choices for a fun night out.
