Flight Information
Direct flights from London to Beijing Capital Airport are approximately 10 hours 30 minutes. Flights to Hong Kong are approximately 11 hours 40 minutes.
Visa Requirements
A visa is required, obtained in advance. Passports must be valid for at least one month after your departure date from China. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.
Weather
China is a large country, with many regions featuring different weather patterns and temperatures depending on altitude, and proximity to mountains or the sea. May, September and October are the most popular months for a visit to China as the weather is most ideal. However, October to December can be beautiful due to the dramatic autumn colours.
Language
Chinese Mandarin is the official language. Other dialects of Chinese are also spoken widely. English is spoken in tourist areas
Currency
The Chinese Yuan is the local currency.

220V, 50Hz. Flat and v shape pronged plugs are common.
