What do people say about the Coco Reef Resort in Tobago, Caribbean?

My wife and I went to Coco Reef on honeymoon 8 years and feel in love with it, the island and the people. We have been back every year since. Eric the manager can’t do enough for you, staff friendly, great beach, good food and my only comment would be that it could do with a refresh as looking a little tired, but in some ways that makes it all the more familiar and homely. Lagoon alone is worth going for!

We went to Coco Reef on an upgrade. This was the BEST deal that we have ever had for a holiday. Staff - brilliant, couldn’t do enough for you and always smiling. Rooms - really comfortable and good air conditioning. Food - exceptional, whether at Breakfast, lunch (bbq fish selections superb) or dinner where they even provided your main course on a hot plate. Entertainment - good, although sometimes finished a little early but not a prob just carried on drinking..!! Facilities - good.

Just back from Coco Reef and it was a fantastic way to spend two weeks! The food was lovely and plentiful, fresh fish, BBQ at lunch daily in the beach restaurant. Cocktails to die for on the beach! The location is fantastic, take a cycle round abouts. I felt totally safe outside the hotel and explored the island which is stunning.

Rooms a little tired, but nothing major. The staff are exceptional. They can not do enough for you, and are happy and add to the experience.

The resort was just as good as you said it would be and we were particularly impressed with the staff who were ALL not only extremely helpful and considerate but also displayed that great Caribbean humour which makes a holiday in that part of the world so special. Nothing was too much trouble. The youngsters serving refreshments on the beach were particularly helpful. The beach was very pleasant and probably the safest we have ever come across. Beach towels were plentiful and extra ones easily obtainable at reception if required. Plenty of sunbeds – a very good feature.

We could not fault it.. The service is second to none nothing is too much trouble and you have their attention for even the smallest of questions. Evening entertainment is very professional and the beach / lagoon is amazing and very safe for children. The food is excellent and location truly breathtaking.

One of our favourite hotels, have visited at least six times. Service and friendliness of staff excellent, Sunsets spectacular. Lovely private lagoon for nervous swimmers (like myself). Clean sandy beach with no beach sellers. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Airport close by is a big plus - half an hour from landing you can be in your room. Tobago remains an unspoilt Caribbean island, its people friendly and undemanding, its scenery varied, rich in birdlife, relatively safe to walk around at night (just be streetwise as to where to walk).
