Day 1

Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City before being transferred to the Mekong Delta, a vast area of floating markets and houses resting along a maze of rivers, before grabbing your bikes at Cai Lay. From there it’s a short cycle to Cai Be, where you will spend an hour or so riding along back roads and taking in the stunning views around you. Your home for the night is a traditional Vietnamese House, fit with an outdoor kitchen where your hosts will prepare dinner, not before exploring the dirt paths surrounding the house.

(Lunch and dinner)

Day 2

Cai Be/Vinh Long – Tra Vinh

After breakfast you’ll be transferred by road to Vinh Long, before taking an ambling boat journey to one of the Mekong Delta islands. Here you’ll be cycling through small, colourful orchards, taking in breath-taking views and stopping to talk to locals along the way. You’ll then be travelling along the vast Co Chien River via ferry, where you’ll enjoy a quiet, peaceful afternoon pedalling to the stunning Tra Vinh and exploring its side trails.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 3

Tra Vinh – Can Tho

Your third day will teach you the traditions and culture of Tra Vinh and the Mekong Delta, taking you through an area surrounded by Khmer people and their beautiful temples. With a support vehicle nearby, you’ll be able to pedal through the tranquil roads as much or as little as you like, heading to the bustling Can Tho and its striking Om Pond decorated with lotus flowers, and the local Bhuddist temple where you can learn about its history.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 4

Can Tho Bike Loop – Ho Chi Minh City

Today you’ll be enjoying an early breakfast so you can delve into the busy morning market and cycle along the bustling riverfront. For an extra peek into the culture of Can Tho, you’ll be cycling along to the Phong Dien floating market, a hubbub of stand-up rowing boats, filled with local vendors and small docks loading and unloading produce. Before lunch at a local restaurant you’ll be exploring the wonderful views of O Mon or Binh Thuy, and before long it’ll be time to check out of the hotel and transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.
