Flight Information

There are no direct flights. Flights from Gatwick to Phuket are around 13 hours. Flights to Bangkok are around 12 hours. From either airport you can get a bus or taxi to Koh Samui. A boat will then take you to your destination.

A visa is not required for stays of up to 30 days. Six months valid passport is required and you must have a return or onward ticket unless a tourist visa is obtained prior to arrival. All visitors are required to prove evidence of sufficient funds during their stay. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.

Weather

This island is known for plenty of sunshine, high humidity and average temperatures of 25-35 Celsius. Hot year-round temperatures and sunshine make it ideal for beach lovers. October to December is rainy season, although this is also the coolest time of year and can be very pleasant. Just bring an umbrella!
