Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort

What do people say about the Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort in Tobago, Caribbean?

I have stayed twice at Le Grand Courlan, once in May 2006 and again in June 2008. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. The spa is excellent and amazing value, a great treat for the ladies and the gents! The hotel is right on the most amazing beach, not quite white sands, but plenty of palm trees, almond trees, etc. It gives you the feeling that you are on a private beach, and at the time of the year that we went, there were never more than a handful of people on the beach at one time. Very clean, very safe, very beautiful. The wildlife is amazing, it’s just like being in a Walt Disney film. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, very helpful and so were the locals. I am looking to going back a third time, as soon as I can. It’s the most relaxing, unspoilt Island and always leaves me wanting more...Swimming under a waterfall, snorkeling, eating fresh fish every day, and huge lobster at Gemmas Tree House, watching the turtles laying their eggs on the beach under the most amazing starry sky...In fact I want to go back right now! :-)

we stayed in may 2007 before the refurb and we absolutely loved it. All staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The spa treatments were a great part to our holiday. The food was great (considering both of us are vegetarians) we ate lots of fruit, cake and other delicous delights. We would definately recommend this hotel.

The beach was clean, the sea was warm and there were lots of pelicans.

Not really a good place to buy souveniers as they are all top dollar, which was a shame. Once a week the manager had a cocktail party and invited local artisans over to display their ware’s. A great night.Other nights there were various entertainment.

The rooms were spacious and clean with lots of clothes space. There is a gym (which was empty) however well equiped.

We really can not say a bad word about this place. Loved it all.
