Inspired and designed to depict a traditional Malay village, Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi’s architecture was conceptualised to blend in with the environment. Characteristically raised on stilts with open spacious verandas, featuring sloping roofs, exposed roof tiles and trusses.

Enter into a world of casual simplicity where each chalet belies the luxurious traditional charm quality within. Elegantly furnished in soft, pastel colours, each guestroom is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities while the lighting creates a soft, cosy ambience. To enhance further the character of the wooden interior, natural textured material such as sisal carpet panels and nyatoh flower motifs have been added to the wall as decorative pieces. All rooms and suites are non-smoking.

Meritus Club Lounge:
The Meritus Club Lounge is open daily from 7.30am to 9pm. Facing the sea, the Meritus Club Lounge offers a tranquil setting where guests can enjoy exclusivity, comfort and personalised services. The club services 21 suites and 18 Meritus Club rooms’ occupants.

Complimentary buffet breakfast is available from 7.30am to 10.30am while sunset cocktails are available between 5pm and 7pm. Club members can entertain or just relax in the privacy of the Club Lounge which is well-equipped with magazines, books, selected board games, TV and DVDs. Land and sea excursions can also be arranged such as island safari, jungle trekking, chauffeur-driven trip, castaway trip, eagle feeding, fishing, yachting, golfing as well as trips to explore some of Langkawi’s famous legendary spots.

The Leisure Centre has a well-equipped gym, steam and sauna rooms, two squash courts, aerobics room, video games, table tennis, darts and KiKi Klub for children. Children aged between 4 and 12 years are welcomed to join in the activities at no charge except for selected activities daily from 9am to 9pm. Fun activities include art and handicraft making, face painting, traditional games, fishing and swimming lessons, beach tele-fun, fun time at mini golf and many more. Three tennis courts and KiKi’s Animal Farm are located at the Mini Golf.

The spa menu of Teratai Spa by the Aspara offers a wide range of treatments, instilled with the beauty and allure of ancient Malay traditions and the sophistication of modern spa techniques. Two open-air free form swimming pools with swim-up island bars and children’s pool. Horizon pool with jacuzzi is a stone throw away from the beach and possesses a panoramic view of the surrounding islands, while Cascade pool is intimately tucked away in the landscaped garden surrounded by chalets. Cascading waters provide soothing and relaxing sound effects while you laze around the pool. Both pool bars seat about 40 people and offer a mouthwatering range of light snacks, chef’s specialty of the day, thirst quenchers and special promotions.

Spice Market Restaurant:
The premier restaurant in the resort, located in the main building, is built using timber with rugged wooden beam ceilings, ceiling fans and subtle lighting. Lining the walls are small alcoves with antique handicrafts and a variety of spices in jars, showing off Malaysia’s rich culture.

Cenang Beach Bar:
Nearby the BBQ restaurant is the Cenang Beach Bar serving cold beers and refreshing cocktails over a mesmerising sunset.

Pelangi Lounge:
Located at the Lobby, little can equate to the soiree mood of the Lounge where musicians serenade the evening tropics with renditions of current and evergreen hits.

The Boat House BBQ Restaurant and Pub:
Located by the palm fringed beachfront with a panoramic view of neighbouring islands, the restaurant provides a refreshing alternative venue for dinner. Raised on platform about a metre above ground level, with smaller wooden platforms nearby the sea, the outlet serves popular BBQ delights for dinner and seats 200 people comfortably, with an original fisherman boat transformed into a Bar.
