We went as a family of 4 in the Easter holiday 2012 it is a fab location, the people are friendly, if a bit a laid back, but nice, the food was good and hotel had lots for the kids and lots of different areas the beach was fantastic. We had an older type room not much space and a bit basic so definitely go for the upgrade, going back next Easter![]()

Where to start? I chose Smugglers cove as a surprise for our wedding and didn’t tell my wife ’til we got to the airport or the resort until we arrived. It exceeded all my expectations and took my wife’s breath away.
Never have I been to a place where the staff seem so friendly, not because it’s their job, but because they can. Lorna, our wedding co-ordinator was tops, no detail was left out. The only piece of music we couldn’t decide on was what she’d walk down the isle to, so Lorna arranged fro ’Air on a G-String’ to be played ( steel Pan style !) which was brilliant. The photos taken were fabulous the only hard thing was to choose 36 pictures from 159 that were taken. Our room when we got back to our room the bed had been decorated with rose petals and towels that had been folded in to swans kissing (heart shaped).
The room itself was clean, bright, air conditioned and spacious. Spent the night before on my own ( avoiding the wife to be) with a few tasty cocktails ( you have to try the BBC) and watching a film on the big lcd tv, before a midnight walk on the beach and a few rums in the late night bar. Mmmmm.
The food was brilliant. All the restaurants were well staffed and very attentive. Try the King fish in the Waterside Grill or the spiced duckling breast in the Cafe asia! Too much to choose from the cove buffet as my Stepson and I found out when trying to get dressed for the wedding 2 days later.
Angie our rep was great, a really nice genuine person who booked our 2 trips for us. 1st was the zip-wire, a must for all. the second surprise on the trip was a 75 foot repel of which they do the braking within the last 20 foot, a brilliant adrenaline rush. Great photo opportunities. The conveniently late trip ( 10.30 start) was breath taking, taking in the Pitons, the drive through volcano ( the only one in the world), the Botanical Gardens and the working plantation. On the way back the boat stopped of in Marigot Bay where they filmed Dr Doolitle, a truly beautiful place especially as the sun was setting as we left the bay.
the second week on our own was even better as we spent most of the time snorkeling, having hour long spa treatmentsand playing beach volleyball. The entertainment was great really involving. Something for everyone, from the morning to late evening.
Will miss Ayeline and Nadine from the Cove, Hope you enjoyed the champers. Chatcho you have a long way to go before your six pack can rival my keg.
This resort can be anything you want it to be and for us it was the best day of our lives and the best vacation.
Finaly a big ’ Thank you ’ to Janet Percy, our Tropical Sky rep, who was took care of us from start to finish. Wouldn’t have made it with out you.
Go, you won’t be disappointed![]()

We have just returned from 14 nights at the Smugglers Cove resort, and thought highly appropriate to write a brief review on this resort. As a family we have had the most fantastic time. The resort itself is very pretty with rooms.located through a very large area. We had a very nice large room, which was cleaned very well every day, with plenty of clean towels etc. The air con was also brilliant, something that hasn’t always been the case in other Caribbean resorts! The staff at the hotel were fantastic![]()

After getting a e.mail from tropical sky for this years offers and looking at the pictures I just had to write this review. My son and his fiancie got married on pigeon island in feb. last year and we stayed at this hotel. It was totally amazing and catered for near on 20 of us and we all had a fantastic time. It really is a beautiful setting, very relaxing and laid back and the majority of the staff were fantastic. Because of a big group of us the main party got upgraded and our rooms were great. The outlook to the sea is gorgeous and I must admit to it being the most relaxing holiday ever. Of course it helped seeing our son and his lovely wife getting married. We all hope to go back on their 5th anniversary. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.![]()

We visited Smugglers Cove last May and still think of our stay often. The staff were fantastic, the resort was great. The low level apartments made privacy a reality, the rooms were clean, well equipped and although 4* caribbean is different to UK experience it’s the best I’ve encountered in the Caribbean to date. The restaurants were well presented, the choice of four locations meant you never felt bored with the choices on offer - the restaurant staff were exceptional. The pools were plentiful, clean with loads of sunbeds. In short, we’ll go back.....![]()

We have just got back from this resort and thoroughly enjoyed it. I suggest that you take 14 nights as it is a truely relaxing place. I’ve never been to an ’All Inclusive’ resort before but now I have, i’d most certainly look for them again. Absolutely fantastic value for money, entertainment was good, drinks were excellent, bartenders was fun, especially Tomas and Vince.
You recieve a complimentary safety deposit box on arrival which is a standard size. The accommodation is ok, our bathroom could have been better, but we didn’t really care. There are loads of watersports, and some beautiful fish in and around the bay, snorkelling equipment and fins are free to hire.
We met loads of people over there and ended up going to the street party in Rodney bay both Friday nights we were there, which I would recommend, gets a little rowdy after midnight though so make sure you book the taxi for the return to the hotel.
The Land and Sea Combo tour offered by the resort is excellent, and absolutely worth the money, and it also gets you out and about for a day. Don’t get me wrong though, sitting at the pool swim up bar drinking cocktails all day was fantastic.
I’d definately recommend this resort, however, make sure you keep your valuable belongings in the safety deposit box in the room.
Tropical Sky sent out all the information on time and also followed up the holiday with a ’how did your holiday go’ type call which was nice.
Cheers, I’d go back there tomorrow if I could.![]()

We returned from Almond Smugglers Cove on Wednesday, and although I have never been bothered to go online and write a review before I really felt I had to after what was a truly wonderful holiday and resort.
My best friend got married over there, and the wedding co-ordinator Lorna did everything she could to make it the most perfect day of her and her husband’s lives. It was amazing.
During the whole holiday the staff were friendly and attentive, the resort was clean and well maintained, and the food was out of this world (although think I must have put on about 2 stone!).
It really was better than we could have dreamed of, and a special thank you to Ally at Tropical Sky for guiding us towards that particular resort.![]()
