Day 1

Santiago

Arrive into Santiago and spend the afternoon exploring the landmarks of the city with a guided tour. In the evening, there will be a welcome reception to get to know your group.

Day 2

Valparaiso

Journey to Valparaiso today where you’ll tour the World Heritage-listed centre and admire the picturesque seaside views of the bay. In the evening, return to Santiago and select from a choice of restaurants for dinner.

Day 3

Buenos Aires

Fly to Buenos Aires in the morning and transfer to your hotel in the stylish Recoleta neighbourhood of the capital. In the evening, enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace.

Day 4

Buenos Aires

Take a guided tour of the city, beginning with a visit to the Avenida de Mayo. You’ll stop off at all the major points of interest, including the iconic Café Tortoni and the Cabildo. Afterwards, head to the city’s oldest barrio of San Telmo and continue on to the parks, gardens and tree-lined streets of Palermo. In the evening, choose from three restaurants for your dinner.

Day 5

Buenos Aires

Today you could head to the island of Tigre with a river cruise or explore the city with a walking tour. Alternatively, head to Teatro Colón which is one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world or take part in a lively tango lesson. In the evening, head to the Rojo Tango for dinner, drinks and an exclusive tango show.

Day 6

Rio de Janeiro

Fly to the spectacular city of Rio today.

Day 7

Rio de Janeiro

Travel to Corcovado where the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue is found, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to the platform at its peak to see over the city for unbelievable views, including Copacabana Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. At sunset, take a cable car to the peak of Sugarloaf Mountain and then head to Porcão Rio’s for the famous Caipirinha cocktail and a traditional Brazilian BBQ.

Day 8

Rio de Janeiro

Take part in a sightseeing activity of your choice today, including a tour through the local favelas, a full-day excursion to Petropolis, exploring the stunning Botanical Gardens and Tijuca National Park on a jeep tour, or take a historical tour of Rio.

Day 9

Iguassu Falls

Take a short flight to Iguassu Falls which is an astonishing series of waterfalls along the borders of Brazil and Argentina. You’ll have chance to view the falls up close before taking a Boat Ride Safari.

Day 10

Iguassu Falls

Spend the day on the Argentinean side of the falls today, riding the Rainforest Ecological Train through to a series of walkways and viewpoints, one overlooking the 82 metre-high Devil’s Throat.

Day 11

Iguassu Falls

Visit the Parque das Aves Bird Park and get up close to a number of South American birds before boarding your flight to Lima in the evening.

Day 12

Chincheros

Fly to the city of Cusco and journey to the village of Chincheros which is set high in the Andean highlands. You’ll watch a traditional weaving demonstration and learn how the colourful fabrics are created.

Day 13

Sacred Valley

Take part in a full day tour of the Sacred Valley, beginning in Pisac with the vibrant markets. At lunch, you’ll visit a local family for an authentic Andean meal before travelling to the archeological site of Ollantaytambo.

Day 14

Machu Picchu

Board the PeruRail’s Vistadome train and take in the panoramic views en-route to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, take part in a guided tour of the Lost City of the Incas before returning back to your hotel.

Day 15

Machu Picchu/Cusco

Beat the morning rush by leaving your hotel early to return to Machu Picchu and experience this amazing sight at your own pace. In the afternoon, return to Cusco and watch the mountain scenery glide by, before checking in at your hotel.

Day 16

Cusco

Take a walking tour of Cusco in the morning where you’ll visit the heart of the city, the Plaza de Armas and other notable sights. Afterwards, choose between three restaurants for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 17

Lake Titicaca

Board the Andean Explorer in the morning for a day-long journey into the highlands to Puno. Along the way, keep watch for the changing scenery which blends from mountainous terrain to the Andean Plains, filled with wild vicuña and alpaca. Your hotel in Puno is situated right by the lake – check-in upon arrival.

Day 18

Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca is the highest altitude lake in the world and your focus for today. In the morning, take a speedboat to the village of Liquina to visit a school and spend time with the teachers and pupils. In the afternoon, cruise to the home of the Uros people, which is a group of more than 40 man-made islands.

Day 19

Lima

Fly to Lima and take a city tour conducted by a local guide, including the Historic Centre of Lima and the Convent of Santo Domingo, which is one of the best preserved monasteries in the city. In the evening, prepare for a unique dining experience with a special dinner at the Huaca Pucllana restaurant, situated within ruins of an archaeological compound.

Day 20

Quito

Leave Peru in the morning and board your flight to Quito in Ecuador. Transfer to your hotel in the historic centre of the city upon arrival.

Day 21

Quito

Explore the World Heritage Site of Old Town with a guide tour today, marvelling along the way at the picturesque architecture. Notable highlights en-route include the Plaza de la Independencia (Plaza Grande), La Compañía de Jesús and the Museo de Arte Colonial. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure.

Day 22

Galapagos Islands

Fly to Baltra Island and take a ferry ride to Santa Cruz Island, which is one of the best places in the Galapagos for spotting the renowned giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Afterwards, set aboard the yacht where you’ll be staying for the next four nights.

Day 23

Santa Cruz Island

Today you’ll visit Eden Islet which is located just off the coast of Santa Cruz, where you’ll see the native blue-footed boobies, reef sharks and frigate bids. In the afternoon, you’ll stop at the small island of Sombrero Chino to observe the wildlife along the 400m trail. There are some great snorkelling and swimming spots at the cove too.

Day 24

Bartolomé and Santiago Islands

Bartolomé Island is a Galapagos icon and your destination for the day – walk up a steep wooden staircase for amazing views, before boarding pangas to ride around Pinnacle Rock. After lunch, land at Sullivan Bay which is a fantastic place to see the volcanic origin of Galápagos while observing its wildlife.

Day 25

Genovesa Island

Take a gentle stroll on Genovesa Island to witness the various species of marine and land birds, with the option to walk over lava and uneven terrain for amazing and dramatic views. Alternatively, you can head back to the beach and go swimming or snorkelling in the harbour. In the afternoon, take a panga ride past the cliffs for a magical walk to observe large colonies of Nazca boobies, storm petrels and the short-eared owls.

Day 26

Guayaquil

Disembark the ship in the morning and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station before transferring to the airport for your flight to Guayaquil.

The tour comes to a close today – transfer to Guayaquil airport for your return flight.
