Details

Day 1

Quito

Arrive into Quito and check-in at your hotel. As there are no planned activities, make the most of your free time and explore the city for the remainder of the day.

Day 2

San Cristóbal Island

Begin your day with an early morning transfer to the airport and take a short flight to San Cristobal Island. Check-in at your hotel and begin to explore this amazing destination, which is the easternmost island of Galapagos and also one of the oldest. After lunch, make your way up through the settlements of El Progresso and La Soledad to enjoy the amazing views from the top of the island. Spend the rest of the afternoon swimming or resting on Mann Beach. In the evening, there is an optional dinner of the island’s fresh fish and local produce.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 3

San Cristóbal Island

Take a short boat ride to Kicker Rock which resembles a sleeping lion. There will be the opportunity to go snorkelling where you can keep an eye out for sea turtles and other species – if conditions are right, you may also be able to sail through the channel which splits Kicker Rock in half. In the afternoon, visit the Interpretation Centre to learn about the natural history of the area.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 4

Floreana Island

Depart from San Cristobal Island in the morning and make your way to Floreana Island. Along the way, you may be lucky enough to see dolphins or albatross. Upon arrival, you’ll walk along the beach until you reach Loberia where you can relax on the beach or go snorkelling. Afterwards, make your way to the secluded town of Puerto Velasco Ibarra and to your hotel, which is situated on a black sand beach. There will be a free afternoon here, so why not wander around the museum or visit the highlands.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 5

Floreana Island and Isabela Island

Make your way to the lesser-visited highlands of Floreana where you’ll hear tales of buccaneers, pirates and whalers that make up a colourful past for this area. After lunch, set sail for Isabela Island where you can check-in at your hotel. This is the largest island in the archipelago and is uniquely shaped like a seahorse. Take a short walk to observe the nearby flamingos in the wetlands before watching the sunset from the beach. Afterwards, walk to the ‘Wall of Tears’, stopping at a lookout point along the way.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 6

Isabela Island

Take a full-day tour of the island which will take you up to Sierra Negra Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Galapagos. Hike to the summit for an amazing birds-eye view of the scenery, before relaxing in the bar on a beach in the evening.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 7

Isabela Island and Santa Cruz Island

Visit Tintoreras today, also known as Shark Alley, where you can watch white-tip reef sharks swim in the channels. There are numerous other species to watch out for as well, including frigate birds, pelicans, blue-footed boobies and Galapagos penguins. Sail to Santa Cruz Island, docking at the town of Puerta Ayora. Check-in at your hotel then spend the rest of the day enjoying the town.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 8

Santa Cruz Island

Visit the highlands of Santa Cruz today to observe the Galapagos giant tortoise in its natural habitat. The area is also famous for lava tunnels, some of which are over 1km long. The views from this area are beautiful – later in the day, head to Tortuga Bay which has a stunning beach. You’ll have chance to visit the marine iguanas and so some kayaking.

(Breakfast and lunch included)
