What do people say about the Spice Island in Grenada, Caribbean?

We stayed at the Spice Island Hotel for one week in December 2008. The hotel was fantastic, excellent service, wonderful peoplel and great food. My room was upgraded to the Royal Room, we were treated like Royalty. I have stayed in many, many hotel, during my career in travelling, but this Hotel was the best. I would definitley return to the Hotel. We had a fantastic time.....

From the minute that you walk through the door, there is a feeling of understated elegance and relaxation. The staff are attentive beyond the call of duty, but never over the top. The food is superb, the service is faultless and the atmosphere casual and very comfortable. Spice Island enjoys the benefit of being family run and a member of the management team is always available. The accommodation is fabulous, the beachfront suites have great views of the beach from the Jacuzzi and the mini bar, which is part of the all inclusive package, is replenished daily.

The staff know each guest by name, and even remember what you had to drink the night before!! I was very impressed when a member of staff in the dining room had noticed that we hadn’t made breakfast, called us to see what we would like sent up to the room. It arrived soon afterwards and was beautifully presented. I am unable to fault this hotel, everything about it is exactly right, from the moment you arrive until you, very reluctantly, have to leave.
