Grenada Weddings

This small island, just 22 miles long and 12 miles wide, remains unspoilt and largely undeveloped. Known as the ’Spice Island’, the sweet scents of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger often linger on its warm, pleasant breezes. The island was created from a now-extinct volcano, and has a mountainous terrain, boasting wonderful crater lakes and a fantastically varied environment. Dwarf forests crown the heights of Mount St Catherine, giving way lower down first to tropical rainforests then to dry forests. At the coast, mangrove trees line the edges of peaceful, sheltered bays which overlook brilliant blue seas. Grenada is ideal for those wanting a quieter, laid-back break, but still offers plenty to do at both the beautiful resort of Grand Anse, with its two miles of sandy beach, and in the capital of St George, with its pretty harbour and good range of shops.
