Escape the buzz of Bangkok and discover the way of life outside of the capital in the surrounding countryside. Visit two famous sites: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Marklong Train Market along with cooking your own Thai lunch.
Early morning you will board a local train to experience the famous Mae Klong railway market. When the train comes through this area, the goods from the market are moved from the rails in lightning speed and then promptly put back a few seconds later. Your next stop is at a local enterprise to learn about the production of palm sugar and the process involved. Afterwards, board a longtail boat to weave through the narrow side canals out into the Mae Klong River. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, a perfect photo opportunity.
After the market, learn about Khao Lam (sticky rice cooked in a bamboo tube) and visit Baan Bang Noi, where you will roll up your sleeves and help to prepare and cook different Thai dishes before enjoying your meal. Take a short ride in a sidecar of a motorcycle to the surrounding orchards and spend some time strolling around them. Return to Bangkok mid-afternoon (DTM).
