The ideal laidback family getaway. In Dhivehi, ‘Aila’ means family and ‘Fushi’ means island, and family time is at the forefront at this gorgeous resort. Located in the stunning Male Atoll, you’ll enjoy unsurpassable Indian Ocean views whilst relishing the classic Maldivian hospitality and style.

The rooms and villas are colourful and joyful, fusing quintessential island interiors with the natural beauty of the surrounds. We especially love the Ocean View Family Room, which includes a master bedroom and a fun kid’s room with bunk beds. The Water Villas are a staple in the Maldives, and we love how private these little slices of heaven feel.

The food is delicious and varied, offering something for even the fussiest eater in your family. We recommend heading to the beach to try out the kooky Copper Pot Truck, a fabulous food truck serving fresh seafood on the golden sands.

To enhance family fun, this lively resort hosts a DJ in the pool area between 11am-1pm, aqua zumb, band nights and other frequent entertainment. The hotel has lots of great activities for the whole family, whilst La Promenade offers lovely oceanfront shops and cafes and explore.

This beautiful island resort is located in the Male Atoll, a simple 15-minute speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport.

There are 268 accommodations, each one with a veranda.

Choose from:

  • Ocean View Room – 30sqm rooms featuring cheerful décor, a window seat with lovely views, and a furnished terrace. Sleeps two adults and one child.
  • Ocean View Family Two Bedroom – 50sqm villas with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which includes one master bedroom and a children’s room with a bunk bed. The villas also have a private outdoor veranda. Sleeps two adults and two children.
  • Beach Villas – 50sqm villas just a few steps from the beach, featuring a private veranda and garden, a walk-in wardrobe and an outdoor shower. Sleeps two adults and one child.
  • Water Villa – 50sqm villas stretching out over the lagoon via a wooden jetty. Every villa is shaped like a traditional Maldivian boat and boasts a private deck and direct access to the lagoon. Sleeps two adults and one child.

  • Element X – The main restaurant, serving international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • X360 Bar – A chilled, bohemian poolside bar with fabulous cocktails and nibbles.
  • The Copper Pot Food Truck – A fun beachside dining experience, where you an enjoy seafood grills right by the ocean. *Pre-booking required and based on availability.
  • Only BLU - The largest under ocean restaurant in the Maldives with window views from each table. A welcome glass of sparkling wine is served on arrival, followed by pre-fixed menu with the option of meat, seafood or vegetarian. Kids menus are available for lunch. Kids Club
