Flight Information
Direct flight times from Gatwick to Crown Point International Airport, Tobago and from Gatwick to Piarco International Airport, Trinidad are approximately 9 hours. Flights with Monarch are weekly departing the UK on Wednesdays. Virgin Atlantic flights are on Thursdays and British Airways fly on Mondays via Antigua.
Most resorts are within 10-30 minutes drive from the airport. If you have pre-booked transfer arrangements with us, you will be met on arrival by our Tropical Sky representative who will guide you to your transfer vehicle.
Visa Requirements
A visa is currently not required for British or Irish passport holders. This should be re-checked on booking for any changes. Passports must be valid for at least the duration of stay and you must have a return or onward ticket. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.
Weather
Tobago & Trinidad are both blessed with year-round warm pleasant weather with little temperature fluctuations, usually settling around 27 Celsius. Rainy season is from June to November and dry season from December to May. Tobago is not within the hurricane belt so even in rainy season weather is not likely to be extreme.
Language
English is the official language in Tobago, though many speak a variety of dialects with Spanish, French, Hindi and African influences.
Currency
The Trinidad and Tobago Dollar (TT$) is the local currency. US dollars may be accepted in some establishments.
Electricity
110-120 V, flat two pronged plugs in use (US/Canada standard). Some areas use 220-240V.
