Based at Antigua’s famous English Harbour, surrounded by lush emerald gardens, teal blue seas and mountainous landscapes. With Freeman’s Bay Beach just steps away, this resort has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. 

The hotel is located just minutes away from Nelson’s Dockyard, filled with historic buildings, museums, shops and restaurants. Head to Shirley Heights to watch the stunning sunset from a prime spot with food, drinks and live music. There are lots exciting activities that take place around English harbour including shark diving for those in search of some adrenaline, horseback riding and other fun-filled day trips.  The Hotel has its own white sandy beach, including its own private jetty.

  •  The drive from the airport takes around 40 minutes.

The following room types are available:

  • Beach cabana room: these traditional beachside cabanas have all the amenities you need for a relaxed holiday, sleeping a maximum of two guests.  Located in part of the old Inn, right on the beach, these rooms have marble floors and are furnished with a queen bed, cane furniture, a verandah with direct access to the beach.
     
  • Junior suite: these stylish suites are located only a short distance from the infinity pool, on the ground and first floors, sleeping a maximum of two guests.  Offering 40 sq. m. of space, they have dark mahogany floors. The lower floor offers a large verandah leading on to the gardens.  These rooms boast King, twin or queen sized beds, large modern bathroom with separate toilet and bidet, twin washbasins a separate walk-in green slate tiled shower and all amenities.  The upper floor rooms offer a large terrace/balcony, are equipped similarly and have vaulted ceilings.
  • Deluxe Junior suite: these larger suites are perfect for a more spacious stay, offering 60 sq. m. of space ,with mahogany four-poster, voile draped beds and other refinements. Sleeping a maximum of two guests. 

For those travelling together, particularly families, Junior Suites can be booked as an interconnecting option on request

  • Reef Bar and Restaurant: open for breakfast and lunch, the Reef Restaurant is located by the small pier and serves a range of Italian and Caribbean dishes. The bar is open for drinks all day.
  • The Stone Bar and Terrace Restaurant: this elegant restaurant enjoys stunning views over the harbour. Located in the original house this is a glorious setting for a special dinner beneath the stars

A full room service menu is available from 8am-9pm daily.

Both restaurants enjoy a very open feel without air-conditioning.  Dining is al fresco when possible,with open windows (when needing to dine inside) and fresh air with cooling ceiling fans.

*The water taxi to Nelson's Dockyard is a complimentary service and operates on a fixed timetable with 2 sailings each way in the morning and 2 each way in the afternoon.  This service is no longer available on a request basis. 

Please note that whilst there is no charge for guests to visit the Dockyard, if you leave the area to visit shops and restaurants you may be required to pay the entry fee to return to the historic dockyard area from where the taxi operates.

 

Child Policy:

The Inn at English Harbour does not have facilities for children and guests tend to be couples, so the hotel does not accept children under the age of 10 years.

The Inn at English Harbour will be closed from approximately 1st September to 12th October for annual refurbishments.

Minimum Stay:  A minimum stay of 3 nights is required through the year except for stays 1 January – 28 February & 10 – 30 April when a 7 night minimum stay applies, and for arrivals between 27-31 December when a minimum of 10 nights applies.
No departures are permitted between 27 December and 2 January irrespective of arrival date.
