Day 1
My Tho Embarkation
Depart Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a scenic journey to My Tho Port. There, you’ll board the luxurious Mekong Navigator. After settling into your suite, enjoy a welcome reception, safety briefing, and crew introductions, followed by a traditional Mekong Delta Vietnamese dinner in Le Marché Dining Room.
Day 2
Cai Be & Sa Dec
Begin the day with a tranquil rowing boat tour through Cai Be’s lush canals. Visit a local workshop to see rice paper, rice wine, and popped rice being made, with crafts and art available for purchase. Continue via sampan through narrow waterways to Cau Xeo, passing rice barges and village life.
After lunch onboard, cruise towards Sa Dec. In the afternoon, explore this historic town, visiting the home of Huynh Thuy Le (inspiration for The Lover), Kien An Cung temple, and the bustling market filled with colourful produce and local goods.
Day 3
My An Hung Village & Cu Lao Gieng (Mango Island)
In the morning, visit My An Hung village by sampan. Stroll through lush farmland, meet locals, enjoy fresh coconut, honey tea, fruit, traditional music, and a performance of VOVINAM martial arts by village youths.
In the afternoon, head to peaceful Cu Lao Gieng Island. Tour by sampan and motorised rickshaw to visit a boatyard, a traditional house, incense workshop, and a Catholic church. The final stop is a family-run mango farm for fresh fruit and warm hospitality before returning to the ship.
Day 4
Day to Relax & Enjoy the Ship Boarder Crossing
Enjoy a relaxed morning sailing upriver to Phnom Penh. Onboard cultural activities include a tropical fruit tasting, Vietnamese spring roll demonstration, and a presentation on traditional Cambodian attire.
In the evening, join the Captain on the Sun Deck for cocktails and a sabering ceremony before dinner.
Day 5
Phnom Penh
In the morning, take a moving visit to Choeung Ek Killing Fields and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), learning about the Khmer Rouge era.
Return to Phnom Penh for a free afternoon to shop, dine or explore. A shuttle runs to the Central Market.
In the evening, enjoy traditional Apsara and folk dance performances on the Sun Deck, followed by the Captain’s cocktail and sabering event.
Day 6
Phnom Penh
Travel by tuk-tuk to explore Phnom Penh’s key landmarks: the Royal Palace, Throne Hall, Moonlight Pavilion, and Silver Pagoda—home to the Emerald Buddha and Maitreya Buddha adorned with over 9,000 diamonds.
Continue to the National Museum, housing an impressive collection of Khmer art and Angkor-era artefacts. Spend the afternoon at your leisure in the city.
Day 7
Wat Roka Kaong Opopel Village Kampong Cham
This morning, visit Wat Roka Kaong, a temple complex dating back to 1840, where you'll receive a traditional water blessing from local monks.
In the afternoon, explore the rural village of Opopel with its stilt houses and grazing cattle. Meet a local family, visit a school, and enjoy a peaceful walk through this untouched community, stopping briefly at the local monastery.
In the evening, join the crew for a farewell reception on the Sun Deck followed by a Cambodian farewell dinner in Le Marché Dining Room.
Day 8
Kampong Cham Disembarkation- Siem Reap
After breakfast, bid farewell to the crew and disembark in Kampong Cham. You’ll transfer to Siem Reap by coach, with a lunch stop en route, arriving in the afternoon.
