Flight and transfers

You’ll fly in to Seychelles International Airport, which is in Mahe. Then you’ll likely take a seaplane or boat to the resort.

Visa Requirements

British passport holders must have a passport valid for at least the duration of intended stay. A visitor’s permit must be obtained upon arrival, which lasts for 30 days. You must have a return or onward ticket, as well as proof of sufficient funds (150 USD per day) and proof of accommodation for your visit.

Language

The primary language is Seychelles Creole but you’ll easily find people who speak English. If you’ve got a little ability in French it will help enormously away from the resorts.

Transportation

La Digue’s small size means there is barely any need for transportation. You can walk to most parts of the island easily. There is a smattering of taxis if you do need to be driven anywhere.

Currency

The Seychelles Rupee is the official currency.
