Rooms & Accommodation

  • 24 simple but very comfortable individual chalets nestle amongst what remains of the island’s old coconut plantation.
  • Each has a king-sized bed, large shower room and separate toilet, lounge corner and spacious patio overlooking the gardens to the sea beyond.
  • Each chalet will accommodate a third adult and child or two extra children
  • Each chalet has a mosquito net and a bed top fan but no air conditioning

What to do

  • Go snorkelling on the protective barrier reef which is home to many varieties of colourful tropical fish
  • Relax on the sensational beaches- these are not manicured and driftwood, crabs and seabirds are everywhere
  • See the sooty tern colony inb the summer months
  • Look for tropic bird, fairy tern nests
  • Try to indentify all of the local bird species
  • Go on a guided nature tour and learn about the island’s conservation programme
  • Being home to more than 20 different species of birds, the island is an ornithologists dream
  • Meet Esmerelda and the other giant tortoises

This is a unique experience. You feel as though you are on the edge of the world and you are. Next stop India. The birdlife is amazing. They are so tame you can stand next to them. The beaches are living, non manicured and full of activity from turtles to crabs and sea birds. The nature tour is a must. Do not miss this island if you come to the Seychelles. You need at least two nights
