Flight Information

There are currently no direct flights to St. Vincent & the Grenadines. For Union Island, St Vincent, Canouan, Mustique and Bequia it is best to fly into Barbados on Virgin Atlantic’s daily direct service from Gatwick or twice weekly direct service from Manchester or British Airways’ daily direct service from Gatwick and then take a short inter-island flight from Barbados to the appropriate island. It is also possible for St Vincent, Canouan and Bequia to fly into St Lucia on Virgin Atlantic’s direct 3 times a week service or British Airways’ daily direct service from Gatwick and take a short inter-island flight to the appropriate island. Flight time to Barbados and St Lucia is approx 9hrs.
Please note that some hotels options provide a local flight from either Barbados or St Lucia, subject to certain booking conditions. Please see individual hotel pages on our website or ask us about this when you call.

Regional flights connecting with Virgin Atlantic flights from Gatwick are available with Flybe from Guernsey, Jersey, Belfast City Airport, Isle of Wight, Inverness, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Newquay. Regional flights connecting with British Airways flights are available from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Manchester and Newcastle. Due to connections times it may be necessary to overnight at Gatwick when booking regional flights.

Visa Requirements

A visa is currently not required for British or Irish passport holders. This should be re-checked on booking for any changes. Passports must be valid for at least the duration of stay and you must have a return or onward ticket. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.

Weather

Temperatures are generally quite warm and sunny, particularly as you move south among the islands. The dry season is from January to May, with December to May being the high seasons for tourism. Rainy season tends to run from June to November. These islands are within the hurricane belt, so check weather predictions before booking tickets.

Language

English is the official language. French and French Patois are also spoken along with a range of dialects.

Currency

The Eastern Caribbean Dollar ($EC) is the local currency.

Electricity

230V, 50Hz. Flat, round and v-shape pronged plugs are used.
