Overview

This short road safari starts and ends in Mombasa and operates every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.  Perfect for anyone wanting a Mombasa beach based holiday, but wishing to sample a good value safari without the hassle of needing to fly to some of the inland game parks.  The safari is ideal to fit in the middle of your beach stay either at the same property or if you wanted a twin beach stay breaking up the trip with a safari. 

Your Safari driver and guide will transport you in-between locations as well as on your game drives in a purpose built 4x4 safari vehicle.  With a maximum of 6 guests, it provides a very comfortable way to travel and plenty of room for game viewing.

Day 1

You will have an early morning pick up from your Mombasa Hotel.  The drive to your first stop is around 200km taking up to 4 hours.  You will get to your lodge in time for lunch and to settle in before you set out on your afternoon game drive.  Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and has a huge diversity in wildlife offering a fantastic safari experience.  You will be back to your lodge at sunset.  All meals included.

Overnight: Ashnil Aruba Lodge, Tsavo East, Full Board

Day 2

After breakfast, its time to move onto your next stop.  You will know when you are getting close as the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro with its snow capped peak will appear on the horizon. The journey is around 200km again so approximately 4 hours.  You will again arrive in time for lunch, relaxation before heading out on your afternoon game drive.  Amboseli is best know for its vast herds of elephants and magnificent scenery.  You will return to your lodge for sunset in time for dinner.  All meals included.

Overnight: Amboseli Sentrim Camp, Full Board

Day 3

After breakfast it will be time to head onto Taita Hills Sanctuary spotting game as you go through the game parks.  The journey is around 200km and 4 hours again plus game watching stops.  You will get to your lodge, check in then have a quick lunch ready for your afternoon game drive.  The Sanctuary is privately managed expanding the wildlife eco system, but is largely unfenced so the large mammals do migrate so your game viewing will vary depending on the time of year and rains etc – but there is always plenty to see if this stunning 28,000 acre landscape.  All meals included.

Overnight: Salt Lick Safari Lodge, Taita Hills, Full Board

Day 4

After breakfast, enjoy your last game drive in the sanctuary, help plant trees then visit the on-site museum.  Lunch at Taita Hills Safari Lodge before heading back to Mombasa for your remaining beach stay.  Your journey will take around four hours (200km) depending on your exact hotel location arriving approximately 6pm.
