Day 1

San Jose

Upon arrival in San Jose, you’ll meet with a representative for your transfer to the hotel for check-in, a modern urban retreat situated in the heart of the downtown. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the wonderful sights of this bustling metropolis.

Day 2

San Jose – Tortuguero

This morning you will transfer by road to the Dock of Pavona, where you will board your boat, navigating along the water canals to Tortuguero. You will arrive at your lodge just in time for lunch.

Day 3

Tortuguero National Park

Today you will enjoy a canal boat tour at Tortuguero National Park which is a wilderness area full of incredible biological diversity, including mammals, birds and fish which reside in eleven various habitats. A 22-mile beach is a favoured nesting ground for the Hawksbill, Leatherback and Loggerhead Turtles – a breath-taking sight. Most of the parks exploration is made by boat, and your guide will fascinate you in hidden sightings of mischievous monkeys and engaging facts about the nature surrounding you.

Days 4 - 7

Tortuguero – Arenal

After breakfast you will depart for Guapiles where you will enjoy lunch. From here you will continue on by vehicle and boat to La Fortuna, a fantastic town near the foot of the jaw-dropping Arenal Volcano that is well known for its spectacular views and wild activities including rafting, waterfall rappelling, and relaxing in hot springs. The next few days will be free for you to explore the town, or take part in optional activities like whitewater rafting and mountain biking. If you would prefer something less active why not relax in one of the Hot Springs.

Days 7 - 9

Arenal – Manuel Antonio

Transfer by vehicle to Manuel Antonio National Park, an amazing combination of rainforest that grows right down to the three white sand beaches that are part of the park, which protects several habitats, including primary and secondary forest, mangroves, beach vegetation and marine resources. You will have the next few days here to explore the spectacular forest and beach.

Day 10

Manuel Antonio – San Jose

Your trip of this incredible country comes to an end today. Head back to the airport with plenty of time to catch your flight, or talk to our team about adding a relaxing beach stay to your trip.
