Traditional Bodu Beru drums will announce the arrival of the bride, whilst the groom awaits at the end with the Head of Ceremonies. The bride will then make her way along a pathway of exotic palm leaves which lead to her future husband. After the wonderful ceremony, you’ll embark on a one-hour sunset cruise with canapes and champagne, and you’ll be treated to an in-villa romantic champagne breakfast the next day, followed by a sublime Him and Her spa treatment.

Have you ever dreamed of spending the most special day of your life on a sandy beach under the glistening sun? Make your dream come true - Coco Bodu Hithi, with its exotic beaches, turquoise blue water and serene atmosphere offers the perfect place to get married or to renew your vows for a lifetime together.  The traditional Maldivian ceremony is held on a sandy beach with customary wedding decorations and folk drums.

Bodu Beru drums announce the arrival of the bride, while the groom waits with the Head of Ceremonies, the bride will make her way to her future husband along a pathway of palm leaves.

On Arrival

On arrival at your hotel, you will be advised when your pre Renewal of Vows meeting will be with the hotels Renewal of Vows Coordinator.  During the meeting, they will cover all aspects of your Renewal of Vows day and show you the various Renewal of Vows venues. 

The Renewal of Vows Ceremony

In most destinations, your Renewal of Vows ceremony will be conducted Monday to Friday (excluding local holidays).  In some destinations, local festivals and holidays will determine available Renewal of Vows dates.  Generally, your Renewal of Vows will take place in the grounds of the hotel unless otherwise specified. 

Renewal of Vows Attire

What you wear for your Renewal of Vows is a highly individual choice, however bearing in mind the tropical climate, we recommend that a light weight suit is worn by the Groom, and the Bride considers a dress to give maximum comfort in the heat.  More casual clothes are quote acceptable in some destinations.
