Comprising 115 granite and coral islands dotted just south of the equator in the western Indian Ocean, the Seychelles is a paradise for island hopping…
Whilst Mahé and Praslin are the main two islands with 90% of the nation’s population living on Mahé, most islands are uninhabited. Every island offers something different and most are easily accessible by a regular network of air and sea transport operating out of the Mahé. Ferry services, domestic flights and even helicopter transfers are available on a daily basis to many of the islands.

Experiencing more than one island during your stay is a must and will add a dimension to your holiday experience. Each island has its own geography, character and history and offers unique flora and fauna. Some of the Seychelles’ best islands to visit include:
Desroches – at only 5km long and 1.5km wide, this tiny island is surrounded by crystal clear sea and a beautiful coral reef. Containing little more than one resort, aptly named Desroches Island Resort, this is a proper paradise island, easily explored by bicycle, where secret tracks lead to secluded beaches!

Bird Island – the most northerly island of the Seychelles Archipelago, this island offers endless stretches of fine, white coral sand beaches and total barefoot escapism. The east and south sides of this 170 acre island are surrounded by a protective barrier reef which is home to many varieties of colourful, tropical fish and the rest is an open beach which offers superb safe swimming. Stay at Bird Island Hotel
La Digue - the fourth largest inhabited island of the Seychelles, lying east of Praslin, known especially for its outstanding beaches, notably Grande Anse beach and Anse Source d’Argent. At the centre of the island’s interior is Veuve Nature Reserve, home of the rare Black Paradise Flycatcher, of which there are only about 100 in existence and Eagle’s Nest Mountain, with a summit more than 300 meters above sea level. Stay at La Digue Island Lodge which borders the Anse Reunion beach.
