Flight Information
British Airways operate indirect flights from Gatwick via Antigua to Punta Cana International Airport, Dominican Republic on Sunday and Thursday, flight time approx 11hrs.
Regional flights connecting with British Airways flights are available from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Manchester and Newcastle. Due to connections times it may be necessary to overnight at Gatwick when booking regional flights.
Thomson Airways operate charter flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Punta Cana year round.
If you have pre-booked transfer arrangements with us, you will be met on arrival by our Tropical Sky representative who will guide you to your transfer vehicle.
Visa Requirements
A visa is not required British or Irish passport holders unless staying longer than 30 days, although a tourist card must be obtained upon arrival. A full six month valid passport is required and you must have a return or onward ticket. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.
Weather
Often referred to as the island of “endless summer”, Dominican Republic is generally very sunny and warm, all year round. The cooler season is from November to April but even this is still quite warm. The mountainous regions tend to be cooler and even drop below freezing on the peaks during winter however, the average temperatures for beach and coastal regions are around 31 Celsius.
Language
The official language is Spanish, though most involved in tourism speak and understand at least some English. A cursory understanding of Spanish is helpful but not required.
Currency
The Dominican Peso. US$ are widely accepted.

110V, 60 Hz, flat two pronged plugs in use.
