Heading to Mallorca for your family holiday? We couldn’t recommend Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village more. With direct access to one of Mallorca’s most beautiful and family-friendly beaches, Playa de Muro, this hotel offers brilliant kids activities and spacious rooms to relax in.

Many of the rooms and suites feature a spacious living area with a sofa bed, giving you ample space to relax together. We love the Sea View Family Rooms as they also boast an expansive terrace with outdoor sofas for you to sunbathe and enjoy private views of the ocean.

Six restaurants mean there’s something even for the fussiest eaters. The kids will definitely love the Burger House, decorated like an 80s American diner, whilst Tramuntana Restaurant offers a different theme to their buffet every night.

Star Camp is a fun kids club for younger guests, offering fun activities including mini discos, cooking classes and science experiments. The Spa is open for everyone too, though those looking for a quiet experience can visit during the adult-only hours.

This luxury hotel is located at Playa de Muro, Mallorca’s largest sand beach that resides on the northeast coast, near Alcudia. This is one of our favourite locations for a family holiday, thanks to the wide array of restaurants, dedicated play areas and shallow waters for splashing around.

  • Embat Beach Restaurant – Located on a scenic seafront terrace, you can either opt for buffet or a la carte at this international restaurant. Open 12.30pm-3pm for lunch, and hours vary for dinner.
  • Burger House – A hit with families, this American-style diner offers delicious burgers, fries and hotdogs. Open 12.30pm-4pm.
  • Dunas Restaurant – A picturesque open-air restaurant serving a light and healthy buffet for lunch. Open 12.30pm-3.30pm.
  • Tramuntana Restaurant – A fun buffet restaurant with a different theme each night. There are also open kitchens so you can watch your dinner being cooked. Open 7.30am-10.30am, 1pm-3.30pm (July and August 1pm-3pm) and 6.30pm-9.30pm.
  • Blue Bar/Food Truck – A colourful food truck right by the pool serving smoothies, beers, juices and hot dogs. Open 11am-5pm.
  • Beer Garden – Enjoy a great menu of 25 national and international beers, alongside cocktails and detox smoothies. Open 9am-11pm.
  • Star Café – For those who love a coffee each morning, this is the place to be. Open 9am-11pm.
  • Embat Beach Bar – A laidback bar overlooking the beach. Open 10am-6pm (10pm during high season).
  • Migjorn Lounge Bar – A sophisticated lounge bar serving Mallorcan-style mojitos and other fantastic drinks. Open 5pm-11.45pm.
