Overview

Set on the banks of Ping River, 20 minutes’ drive north of Chiang Mai's iconic "old town", Raya Heritage is one of Thailand's most charming boutique hotels.

Design within the property is clean and contemporary but thanks to the clever use of local textiles and materials it's clear you're in a truly Thai environment.

Within Raya Heritage, 33 spacious suites provide guests with the perfect surroundings in which to get comfortable and enjoy their time in this remote region of Northern Thailand. Amongst the resort’s lush gardens, the atmosphere is peaceful and serene however just a short drive away guests can enjoy activities like jungle-trekking, rock climbing and white-water rafting.

After exploring the local surroundings and venturing to Chiang Mai itself, Ai Waan Spa is the perfect place to relax before a romantic dinner. Treatments here are based on regional healing techniques, our favourite of which uses lightly-heated bamboo to relax your aching muscles.

Raya Heritage is a sister property of the renowned Tamarind Village in Chiang Mai and the award-winning Rayavadee in Krabi, so you can rest assured you’ll leave with memories to last a lifetime.

Rin Terrace Suites

Located on the second floor, these 75sqm suites are decorated in subtle shades of white and cream and use natural materials and textures to enhance the feeling of luxury. Each suite features a covered outdoor terrace with views of the resort's lush greenery.

Huen Bon Suites

Accessed by a private staircase to the third floor, these 75sqm suites boast high-pitched ceilings that reflect the style of traditional Thai houses. Bathrooms feature beautiful hand-carved teakwood mirrors and locally-crafted ceramic tiles. A large bath, separate shower and double vanity offer added comfort within the suite.

Kraam Pool Suites

Situated in the resort's lush gardens, just steps from the Ping River itself, these 100sqm suites provide an indoor-outdoor living space with a large terrace and a 3m x 7m private pool.

Khu Khao

Northern Thailand’s rice-based culture serves as the main inspiration for this rustic yet elegant restaurant. The name, Khu Khao, refers to the baskets used by local rice farmers, some of which have been used decoratively across the restaurant’s interior. Dishes here proudly display regional influences and vary by season, as the chefs look to make the most of the locally-sourced ingredients.

Laan Cha - Tea Terrace

With views out over the River Ping, this cosy outdoor terrace is the perfect place to enjoy light snacks or a sumptuous afternoon tea.

Baan Ta – Lounge & Lawn

This delightful venue offers guests a range of sophisticated cocktails and gourmet snacks, all of which are served by the riverside. In our opinion, there’s nowhere better to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail or two!

Raya Heritage provide a complimentary shuttle service to Chiang Mai old town each day. This shuttle service takes just 20 minutes and allows guests to enjoy the city’s historic temples, eye-catching shops and enchanting restaurants. Guests are dropped off/collected at Tamarind Village, Raya Heritage’s sister resort, based in the heart of the old town.

Raya Heritage will be closed between 1-30 November 2018 due to unexpected delays during the last phase of construction. They would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
