Tamarind Village is located at the heart of Chiang Mai’s old town. The renowned ‘Sunday Walking Street’ takes place directly in front of the entrance to the hotel and makes for a fun activity during your stay.

Tamarind Village is a unique and charming boutique style property surrounded by quaint shopping streets and ancient temples. The name originates from the 200 year old magnificient tamarind tree that sits in the garden courtyards. With 41 rooms and 5 suites all located around the picturesque courtyard.

  • Lanna – 25 sqm boasting first and second floor garden views, these rooms have a classic style and offer unique features such as handmade lacquered boxes and embroidered tribal caps which add to the charm and heritage of the property
  • Lanna Deluxe – 30 sqm featuring the same amenities as the Lanna Room, only more spacious with a small balcony or terrace to enjoy the courtyard views
  • Lanna Suites - 46 Sqm in size the Lanna Suites come with a separate living room and a marble en-suite with a bathtub
  • Tamarind Suites –  Luxurious suites with 50sqm including a living room, marble en-suite with a bathtub and ornate furniture and tribal artefacts
  • The Spa Suite – Located by The Village Spa which can be accessed by a private staircase to the second floor, this 60sqm suite features a spacious private terrace with a sun bed, and a marble bathroom with separate bathtub and outdoor rain shower

  • Ruen Tamarind Restaurant – A picturesque venue with in and outdoor seating, offering guests the chance to sample a range of delectable dishes. The menu is heavily influenced by northern Thai flavours for an authentic taste of Thailand, as well as classic international dishes; open 7am-11pm

  • The Village Spa – tranquil retreat with treatment rooms, massage therapies and soothing treatments; open 10am-10pm
  • The Tamarind Boutique – A charming shop with a carefully curated collection of jewellery, clothing and gifts for the home, along with northern Thai products; open 8am-8pm
