Having already stayed at another Evason hideaway previously we expected the standard to be high , we were not disappointed the buildings are designed to fit in with the surrounding areas and superbly fitted out we had an air conditioned pool villa suit looking out to the sea ,the staff were freindly and efficient and always willing to help, the dining areas are laid out with plenty of space and dining on the rock is an experience as the resort has one of the best young chefs plying his trade in this region, the spa areas are what the hideaway is famed for and this stands the test of time with many variations on different treatments in a very relaxing enviroment. However there are two areas of concern that let down the total experience firstly the poor lighting on the dining on the rock restuarant, the two times we visited you could hardly see the food as every table has a candle which is the only light source ,an annoying problem when you are eating dishes designed to look as good as they taste at a cost of £150 per head with wine, but secondly and much more of a problem is the noise of the boats fishing in the sea in front of our villa each night, the local fishermen use large V8 engines on their boats without any exausts so the noise is incredible there were on average 6-8 boats moving about every hour from darkness to sunrise and when they leave the first jets delivery new passangers start and as the flight line is across the tip of the resort the noise continues ,the problem is confounded because of the lack of double glazing which would have taken the noise level down to a repectable level to allow a nights sleep ,so in reflection the resort delivers for the money on all the usual levels but i think the architect is the one who failes on the practicality test ,hideaway Yes quiet No- your choice![]()
